This afternoon session will provide a brief overview of the magic of ultrasound and how it can be applied in day to day food animal practice. There will be a one hour lecture reviewing the physics of ultrasound and equipment that is currently available. Following the one hour lecture there will be a wet lab to demonstrate beef carcass evaluation, basic reproductive ultrasound, early pregnancy diagnosis in sheep and cattle, bovine fetal sexing and testicular ultrasound.
