Bull Evaluation and Management Conference

Thursday, January 7, 2010 and Friday, January 8, 2010

This conference is exclusively about BULLS. This conference will be a comprehensive continuing education symposium on the selection, management, health maintenance, Biosecurity, and fertility of bulls. Internationally recognized experts will provide up -to-date information to optimize bull productivity, utilization, and semen evaluation.

Frick Auditorium, Mosier Hall, College of Veterinary Medicine, 1800 Denison Avenue, Manhattan, KS Frick Auditorium is located on the second floor of Mosier Hall. Enter at the Emergency Entrance. Signs will be posted in the building to direct you to registration.

Parking
A parking permit IS required to park on campus Monday-Friday. You will receive additional parking permit information when you register for the conference. Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and on the east side (off Jardine Drive) of the Veterinary Medical Complex.Do not park in the client parking or reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.
 

Registration Information

  • Pre-registration is due by December 21, 2009. Registrations received after this date will be assessed a late fee.
  • Registration fee includes lectures, proceedings, semen analysis lab, catered luncheon and refreshment breaks.
  • Refunds, less a $20.00 handling charge, will be made if notification is received by January 5, 2010.
  • Check for meal availability if registering after January 1, 2010 by calling Liz at 785-532-2495.

Guest Speaker

Albert Barth, DVM, MVSc, DACT
Professor, Theriogenology, University of Sasketchewan Dr. Barth received his DVM degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1971. Dr. Barth received a Master of Veterinary Science degree in 1978, and board certification in the American College of Theriogenologists in 1982. He has been involved in teaching, clinical service, and research at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine since 1978 and is presently a professor with the department Large Animal Clinical Sciences, at the University of Saskatchewan. His main clinical and research interests are in the area of fertility in cattle and especially factors affecting bull fertility
