The conference will be held at the K-State Student Union, on the Corner of 17th and Anderson Avenue.

If you are a 2005, 2006, or 2007 DVM graduate, veterinary student or veterinary technician, then your conference registration is available at a reduced rate (see pages 10-11). The Continuing Education Committee hopes this price break will help recent graduates get started in their professional continuing education programs.

A late fee of $25.00 will be added to all registrations after May 9, 2008.

Refunds, less $50.00 handling charge, will be made if notification is received by May 23, 2008.

If you need to be reached Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday during the conference between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 5:00 pm, call 785-532-6594.

Parking
The Campus Parking Department requires a parking permit Monday-Friday. This permit will be sent to you upon receipt of your registration. Please make sure to hang the permit on your rearview mirror.

Student Union Parking Options:

The Student Union Parking lots are currently under construction as a parking garage is being built.

Available parking during the Annual Conference for Veterinarians:

  • West Stadium Lot
  • College of Veterinary Medicine lots

Parking at the College of Veterinary Medicine is available on the west side (off Denison Ave) and on the east side (off Jardine Dr) of the Veterinary Medical Complex. Do not park in the client parking or in any reserved stalls as you could get ticketed.

Van transportation to and from the K-State Student Union, West Stadium, and the College of Veterinary Medicine will be available continuously throughout the conference. Call 785-532-6594 for specific requests.

Child Care
Conference registrants who are interested in child care during the conference may contact KSU Child Care Development (785-532-3700) or the Kansas Association of Childcare Resource and Referral Agencies (1-877-678-2548, indicate that you are calling for the 785 area code) for information and availability. The above providers will try to help you arrange child care on a space available, drop-in basis.



K-State Recreation Complex and Natatorium
Conference attendees are welcome to utilize the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex and the Natatorium throughout the conference. You will need to present a photo ID and your conference name badge to gain admittance. Participants pay on a per-use basis.

Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex - $5 (full workout facility)
Natatorium - $3 (swimming)

For current recreation facility hours, call 785-532-6000. Use your conference parking permit to avoid being ticketed. If you park in the metered spots, you will still need to pay the meter.
